Back in the saddle? Ronaldo eyes comeback with US club
Ronaldo - the Brazilian one - could be hitting the comeback trail.
Fresh from winning a handsome sum of money from a poker event, the 38-year-old - who hung up his boots in 2011 - is willing to make a competitive return to football if the Fort Lauderdale Strikers - the US second-tier club that he part-owns - need his services.
Ronaldo, a three-time World Player of the Year winner, said: "I will train a lot, and if the coach needs me, maybe (return to playing).
"It's easy to get in shape - you have to train.
"To play a soccer game you have to be in very good shape so I will try.
"I'll start another challenge and I'm sure it will help the league and it will help the team and help soccer in America."
