Barca complete Cillessen signing
Barcelona have completed the signing of Dutch international goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen from Ajax, the Spanish champions confirmed yesterday.
In a statement on their official website, the Catalan side confirmed they had signed the 27-year-old on a five-year contract for 13 million euros ($20m), rising to a potential 15 million euros.
Cillessen, who made a farewell appearance in Ajax's 4-1 loss to Rostov in the Champions League play-offs, flew to Spain yesterday to undergo a medical and would be officially unveiled after that.
His arrival clears the way for Claudio Bravo to join Manchester City, leaving the Dutchman to compete with Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the Barca No. 1 jersey. - AFP.
