Catch O'Nien in action tonight

Singapore football fans might want to tune in to the FA Cup third-round tie between Wycombe Wanderers and Aston Villa tonight, to catch a glimpse of midfielder Luke O'Nien.

The 21-year-old has revelled in a box-to-box midfield role this season for the Chairboys, as they push for promotion to League One.

O'Nien, who is the grand nephew of the late Lim Kim San, a Pioneer Generation cabinet minister, is eligible to play for Singapore and told The New Paper he was keen to don the national jersey.

He said the match against Villa is a stage to show off what he and his teammates can do.

"It's a great opportunity for Wycombe, playing against a Premier League team," said O'Nien.

"We've got a sellout crowd of 9,500 people coming to Adams Park, it's going to be a great atmosphere and a great day for the club.

"Everyone's looking forward to it, we've been working hard this week and when the game comes I think it's going to be a great moment for everyone, and we expect to put out good performances."
