GALLERY: Germany celebrates
Jubilant German fans lined the streets of Berlin to celebrate their national team's triumphant return from the World Cup in Brazil.
Touching down at Tegel airport in a rebranded Lufthansa jet called Fanhansa, Die Mannschaft then transferred to a black open-top bus for a procession through the German capital to Brandenburg Gate, where they partied with their ecstatic fans.
After playing out a goalless 90 minutes with Argentina in the final, Mario Goetze's extra-time volley was enough for Germany to end their 24-year wait for a fourth World Cup - their first since reunification.
