Goal to be new 'King'
Neymar's two goals against Cameroon yesterday morning (Singapore time) have shown why many believe the 22-year-old can even topple Pele as his country's top scorer.
Neymar already has 35 goals in 52 caps, and only Pele, known as the "King" in Brazil, and Zico have a better goals-per-game average for Brazil.
But both those greats' totals of 77 and 66 respectively look an achieveable target for Barcelona's latest superstar.
It is also fitting that Neymar, the Man of the Match, scored the 100th goal of the 2014 World Cup with his side's first goal in their 4-1 win. The goal came in Brazil's 100th World Cup game.
Brazil are the only team apart from Germany to notch a century of matches at the tournament.
Neymar has now scored four goals in his first three World Cup matches, equalling a feat achieved by his great predecessor Pele.
