On his bike! Free agent Sagna signs for Man City
Bacary Sagna has brought an end to speculation about his future by joining Manchester City on a free transfer.
With his contract with Arsenal expiring in the summer, the 31-year-old right-back has signed a three-year deal, with a reported wage of £150,000 ($318,000) a week, with the English Premier League champions.
The deal was announced on the Manchester City official website. It also mentioned that Sagna will take on the No. 3 shirt when he links up with his new teammates after the World Cup.
While Gunners fans will be unimpressed by another of the team leaving north London for the blue half of Manchester, Sagna posted an emotional farewell message to the club on Instagram a day before the announcement.
Sagna joined Arsenal from Auxerre in 2007 for £7m.
