How did they miss that? Illegal goal stands

Barcelona B were beaten 3-1 by L’Hospitalet on Saturday.

What stood out wasn’t the defeat, but the manner of L’Hospitalet‘s third goal scored in the dying minutes of the match.

The move started from the 92nd minute kick-off as the visitors had just conceded a goal to make the score 2-1 at the Miniestad.

A L’Hospitalet player — Ruibal — was nearly 20 metres inside the Barca B half when the game was restarted. He ended up providing the pass which led to David Bigas' goal that restored their two-goal cushion.

Strangely, none of the officials spotted it and the goal stood.
