More injury woes for Arsenal as Koscielny is released by France
Arsenal really can't seem to get a break with injuries, can they?
Fresh from losing Mesut Oezil for up to three months when German doctors had discovered a partial ligament rupture in his left knee, the Gunners are faced with another problem after Laurent Koscielny was forced to withdraw from international duty with France with chronic tendinitis in both of his archilles tendons.
The injury has forced Didier Deschamps to draft in Mapu Yanga Mbiwa of AS Roma as the central defender's replacement for upcoming friendlies against Portugal and Armenia.
While no mention was made on how long Koscielny will be out for, the news is another blow for Arsene Wenger, who has a growing list of injury concerns at the Emirates Stadium.
Captain Mikael Arteta and Aaron Ramsey have picked up injuries in recent weeks while Oezil joined Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud among Arsenal's long-term injury victims.
