PSG and Marseille boycott Canal Plus over Ibrahimovic, Payet ban
Paris St Germain and Olympique Marseille will not talk to Canal Plus until the end of the season after footage from the TV channel was used by the French League to suspend Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Dimitri Payet.
The LFP disciplinary committee used Canal Plus footage against PSG striker Ibrahimovic and Marseille forward Payet who were suspended on Friday for four and two games respectively for using abusive language against referees last month.
Dimitri Payet was suspended for two games
Ibrahimovic was incensed by the ban, calling it a ridiculous farce.
Said the Swede: “The whole situation has become a farce — ridiculous and unprofessional. A disgrace to football.
“I would have been even happier if they had suspended me for the rest of the season so I could have gone on holiday already.”
