Take a peek into the luxurious lives of footballers past and present

As an ex-Liverpool, current Manchester City flying winger and a retired ex-Manchester United, ex-Everton defender, Raheem Sterling and Phil Neville are quite possibly the most contrasting pair of footballers you can possibly think of.

However, both men have one thing in common – they both have ridiculously luxurious homes on sale.

After his acrimonious split from Liverpool, Sterling has put his four-room Southport mansion up for sale while Neville is selling his six-bedroom Cheshire home after he was hired by Spanish club Valencia as a coach.

Both players' luxurious pads can be viewed online at UK property website Rightmove. Neville's mansion is believed to be valued at £3.6 million (S$7.9m) while Sterling's house comes with a £1.5m price tag.

If you think the exterior of their homes looks grand, wait till you take a look inside.

Apart from its six bedrooms, Neville's home also has an indoor swimming pool, a swanky modern kitchen and dining room and a home cinema area featuring a wall full of jerseys from the 38-year-old's glittering career.

His garage even has a futsal pitch complete with goalposts, presumably for his children.

While Sterling doesn't quite have the same number of jerseys adorning the wall of his own home cinema area considering his career is only just taking off, the Man City dazzler certainly has a home to compete.

Apart from his own indoor pool, the 20-year-old has a personal gym, a Michael Jackson-themed bar, a personal barber room and even an outdoor basketball court.

Talk about lifestyles of the rich and famous.
