Thierry Henry's superb reaction to Brendan Rodgers' sacking
Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers have parted ways.
Just a few hours after Liverpool drew 1-1 with Merseyside rivals Everton on Sunday (Oct 4), Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group announced that they had sacked the Northern Irishman.
Although Rodgers had been dogged by speculation about his future ever since Liverpool's humiliating 6-1 defeat at Stoke on the final day of last season, the news of the sacking was still received with widespread shock on social media.
The award for best reaction, though, has to go to Thierry Henry.
The Arsenal legend was on television as a pundit for Sky Sports when the announcement was made.
When the news of the sacking filtered through, the Frenchman was so shocked that he had to seek solace by briefly holding on to Jamie Carragher's leg, before letting out a long "Ooooh."
While Henry did not manage to keep his cool, Carragher kept his, and delivered his stinging verdict about Liverpool's current place in the footballing hierarchy.
"“Liverpool have won one Carling Cup in 10 years. Liverpool are becoming Tottenham. They think they are a big club but the real big clubs are not too worried about them." - Jamie Carragher

"Listen, I have massive respect for Liverpool.. but it's not a big team any more," - Thierry Henry
All we can say about that is: "Ooohhhhh ..."
