Watch: Goalie saves three penalties in one match

To score a hat-trick is a tough enough task, but not a rare feat as Man City’s Sergio Aguero showed against Newcastle at the weekend and Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez did away at Leicester City a week before that.

But to make a hat-trick of penalty saves in a game has to go down as a unique accomplishment and that was exactly what Jean-Francois Gillet did in the Belgium league.

The 36-year-old shot-stopper saved two spot-kicks from Dennis Praet and Stefano Okaka in the first 15 minutes and completed his heroics in the 89th minute when he stopped Youri Tielemans’ effort.
