World Cup Friendly: Belgium smashes minnows Luxemburg 5-1
Romelu Lukaku led Belgium's attacking line in Brazil by scoring a hat-trick against minnows Luxembourg in Genk Belgium.
He fired the Belgians into the lead in the third minute and scored a second in the 23rd minute. He completed his hat-trick with a brilliant individual goal in the 53rd minute.
The striker who spent last season on loan to Everton from continued his good form in this match. He scored 15 goals in the Premier League last season.
Belgium's other two goals are scored by Tottenham Hotspur’s Nacer Chadli and VfL Wolfsburg’s former Chelsea attacking midfielder Kevin de Bruyne.
This upcoming tournament will be Belgium's first appearance in the World Cup since the 2002 World Cup held in Japan and South Korea.
Debutant Januzaj
The game was also notable for Adnan Januzaj making his international debut as a substitute.
The Manchester United starlet was eligible to play for several other countries before opting to play for Belgium.
He did not disappoint when he came on for Eden Hazard, showing some nice touches.
He, along with Belgium, will face sterner test in the lead up to Brazil starting with Sweden this Sunday.
