Lankan rupee set for 7th straight win
RACE 1 MOONEE VALLEY (2,040M)
4 WROTHAM HEATH (17:3-3-0): Got caught up behind tiring horses last time. Could have gone close with a clear run. Gets his chance to atone here.
6 VINTAGE LAD (16:4-1-4): Has been racing well in similar company and he looks nicely suited here. Sure to have plenty of admirers.
1 VIZHAKA (25:6-4-1): Raced wide but too good last time when settled closer to the lead. Goes well here and looks a threat again.
RACE 2 RANDWICK (1,400M)
2 WASHINGTON HEIGHTS (2:0-2-0): Liked the way he got to the line behind the promising Nostradamus in the San Domenico G3 and that run suggests he will enjoy the 1,400m trip.
1 VALENTIA (5:2-0-2): Arguably should have won the Up And Coming G3 first-up after striking late trouble. He is quality colt and he can win second-up with improvement.
3 PANZER DIVISION (2:1-1-0): This bloke has plenty of raw talent and, if he puts it all together here, he can win this. Looks exciting prospect.
RACE 3 MOONEE VALLEY (1,000M)
1 LANKAN RUPEE (16:9-1-2): Australia's champion sprinter and has assumed the mantle from Black Caviar. Going for seven on end and hard to go past.
2 IT IS WRITTEN (34:8-6-3): Track specialist who trialled OK on Monday. Capable of showing up while fresh. Look for him late.
6 CAUTHEN (5:2-2-0): Talented NZ galloper who beat Shamus Award here 12 months ago and is resuming following an injury break. Might need the run but creates interest.
RACE 4 RANDWICK (1,600M)
9 ROYAL DESCENT (17:4-5-2): Showed surprising speed to hold rails in the Warwick G2 and she did super job to hold on late. Winner second-up and expect she will go closer to winning this.
8 CRITERION (17:5-3-2): Just had to wait for the run to come first-up in the Warwick G2 and, when it did, he finished solidly. Races well second-up (3:1-1-0).
1 SACRED FALLS (20:8-2-1): Struck some trouble early and in the latter stages first-up in the Warwick Stakes G2 and still only a length away. Dual Doncaster G1 winner this track and distance.
RACE 5 MOONEE VALLEY (1,200M)
2 SABATINI (3:2-1-0): Looks a star in the making on the back of her dominant last-start effort in a hot race. Rates highly.
1 LONDON LOLLY (5:2-1-0): Quality filly who will be fitter for her first run back from a spell. Has a good record here and should be prominent.
6 LADY TRICKSTER (3:1-0-1): Ran 10-length 2nd to Shufetish 800m Cran trial heavy trk Aug 19. Showed handy ability in her opening preparation but this is a tough first-up assignment. Looks tested.
RACE 6 RANDWICK (1,000M)
8 TARGET IN SIGHT (15:6-4-1): Showed impressive turn of hoof from the corner first-up and won impressively. Tough test but he is promising and sure to be rushing home late.
7 DIDNTCOSTALOT (23:6-4-1): Solid 1¾-length win in 740m W Farm trial Aug 29. Game in defeat with 60.5kg two runs back. Forget Caulfield run when never out of trouble. Big chance.
3 RAIN AFFAIR (28:12-5-1): Solid 1¾- length 2nd in 740m W Farm barrier trial Aug 29. Disappointed in three runs last prep. He is much better than that.
RACE 7 MOONEE VALLEY (1,600M)
1 FORETELLER (43:10-4-2): Was doing his best work in between runners late first-up at Caulfield. Only the one try around Moonee Valley, when beaten one length in G1 Cox Plate. Strips fitter but awkward barrier.
9 STAR ROLLING (12:5-1-1): Found front on the corner at Caulfield first-up and held off late challenge. Expect he will be chasing The Cleaner throughout.
4 THE CLEANER (41:16-10-2): Set cracking pace up front this track and distance last start and ran them off their legs. This is harder but will give them something to catch. Loves MV (4:2-1-1).
RACE 8 RANDWICK (1,400M)
14 HOOKED (16:2-0-1): He was the eye-catcher when resuming at Rosehill, wide from well back on the corner and he hit the line strongly which suggests this trip will suit.
1 TIGER TEES (29:13-3-2): Much too good from front 1¼-length win (59.0) over Royal Descent 1,400m R'wick Warwick Stakes heavy trk Aug 23. Sure to roll forward and control this race from the front. Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed in two starts this track and distance. Can win.
12 MONTON (49:9-3-4): . Held position for 2¾-length 4th (56.5) to Terravista 1,200m R'wick Show County heavy trk Aug 23. It was solid first-up. Fitter but may take another run to find best.
RACE 9 MOONEE VALLEY (1,600M)
4 HENWOOD (24:7-3-4): Finished too well ¾-length win (52.5) over Eximius 1,400m C'field Open Hcp Aug 30. Beaten less than a length in blanket finish here a run previous. No reason he cannot win again.
10 ST JEAN (14:4-2-2): Overraced middle stages 2¾-length 6th (54.0) behind Mourinho 1,500m M Valley Open Hcp Aug 23. He had a freshen-up after stringing together two city wins this prep. Expect him to be in finish.
7 KAPOUR (7:3-2-0): Solid 2¾-length win over Spinderbell 1,190m Cranb trial Sept 1. Imported horse making Australian debut. Races well fresh (3:2-1-0).
RACE 10 RANDWICK (1,400M)
14 SPY DECODER (6:2-1-0): Only got going late 2¾-length 5th (56.5) to Beckon 1,100m R'hill (Bm75) Aug 16. Liked the way he got to the line. Will strip fitter and the extra trip will be ideal.
12 MOUNTAIN VIEW (12:2-1-4): Got home hard 3¼-length 6th (54.0) to Target In Sight 1,000m R'wick (Bm85) Aug 9. He showed some sound form when getting up to the longer distances last time in work. Has super second-up record (2:1-0-1).
9 CORRYVRECKAN (23:5-1-5): Run down late 4½-length 5th (58.0) to Black Revolver 1,500m R'hill (Bm80) Aug 16. Loomed to be in finish here two starts back but just found wanting late. Similar at Rosehill last start when collared late. Competitive.
RACE 11 MOONEE VALLEY (1,200M)
5 CLUB COMMAND (17:6-4-5): Worked home 2½-length 3rd (54.0) to Hard Stride 1,200m C'field Regal Roller dead trk Aug 16. Liked the way he got to the line. Will sit in behind the speed and expect him to have last shot at leaders.
1 LE BONSIR (32:8-8-4): Faded from 200m 6½-length 7th (58.5) to Thiamandi 1,200m C'field Bletchingly dead trk July 26. Missed in last stride at Flemington two starts back. Had a freshen-up and he does race well around MV.
12 SPIRITS DANCE (10:5-0-2): Ran away 1¼-length win (56.5) over Marianne 1,400m C'field Angus Armanasco Feb 22. Promising mare who has won her last four starts, including Group 2.
Australia’s champion sprinter and has assumed the mantle from Black Caviar. Going for seven on end and hard to go past.
