Jockey Craig Newitt, who has been plying his trade at Kranji since December, knew he was onto something good from the first day he sat on SUPER ONE, who led all the way to score a comprehensive win in the $90,000 Make Your Own Magic Stakes over 1,100m on the Polytrack.
The Australian (above) has nothing but praise for the Michael Freedman-trained runaway debut winner, who won his trial by nearly 10 lengths.
"I've waited for four months to get a good one, and I think I've finally got one," he said.
"He has all the attributes of a very good horse. He's quick, runs fast sectionals while travelling so relaxed and is so professional even though he's only two. I had the race wrapped up from a long way out. He was never in doubt."
