Prince Falcon set to soar in Race 3

RACE 1 (1,400M)

SMART PLANET (12) was ridden quietly as usual from a wide gate two starts back for a closing course-and-distance (C&D) third to Fast And Furious. He didn't appear to enjoy being ridden positively in a recent All-Weather Track failure. He can get on track.

SAFARI MAGIC (6) only won two of 53 starts but has placed on 18 occasions, including a couple of C&D placings this term. He's usually handy in the run but will need luck from his gate.

FRIENDS FOREVER (2) is risky at short odds but did land a betting move when making all over this Sha Tin trip with Kei Chiong Ka-Kei's claim last time out. Another positive run would not surprise.

BERNARD'S CHOICE (13) still got a bit of life left in her legs with rallying fourths in her past three of five starts. She can get up for a placing.

RACE 2 (1,650M)

HO LEE HORSE (2) has been hard to fault following a switch to the dirt for an easy front-running win and two pleasing efforts behind Expedite, including a recent bob of heads second. He'll be hard to run down under claimer Kei Chiong Ka-Kei.

DIAMOND FRIENDS (9) was threatening for a fourth time on this surface when coming from last in a recent third behind Expedite. He's one of the chances.

DASHING SUPER (3) never had any luck in the run from a wide gate last month with a return to the level of a C&D win last October. He's drawn to give a better sight.

Old-timer BUDDY BUDDIES (7) finished well for fourth behind Expedite after a patient ride from a wide gate last month over this C&D. He'll be rolling late.

RACE 3 (1,400M)

PRINCE FALCON (11) finally turned things around following a 42-point drop in the ratings over this C&D with a closing second to Molly's Jade Star and a fourth behind Care Free Prince. He'll be hard to keep out of the finish.

HAPPY FIERY DRAGON (3) will need luck from his gate but has been in the thick of the finish in his three starts and might be crying out for an extra 200m after running on steadily fore of midfield in a recent third to Noble De Boy.

METALLIC STAR (1) has had trouble stringing together two good runs but has placed in four of 11 starts this term, including a recent trip second behind Hang's Decision after prompting the pace from a wide gate. He is drawn to give a better sight.

FAST AND FURIOUS (14) is up in class but did dash nicely to win his latest over this Sha Tin trip in Class 5 despite blood in his trachea. He'll need to be taken on trust but does look fine from the training track and will be rolling late from a wide gate.

RACE 4 (1,000M)

ADVENTURER (1) will have 12 pounds (5.45kg) more to carry following a nine-point penalty but lived up to a good C&D second behind Dragon Master with an easy win over Winning Vibe. He remains a pace factor.

ART OF SUCCESS (8) does appear to have improved for his new trainer this term, including a handily-ridden short head second to Gallant Rock last month over this trip on a wet track. He'll go close.

WILD FIVE (10) hasn't shown much in his two starts, including a March failure with blood in his trachea and mucous, after flashing potential first-up. He needs to be taken on trust following a trial win when returning again with blood.

FISH N' CHIPS (2) is likely on his mark but continued his genuine form over this Sha Tin trip when staying on from midfield in a recent third behind Adventurer and remains one for the short list despite a low berth.

RACE 5 (1,200M)

DIAMOND KING (6) was never out of the top three in his opening seven starts, including three Class 4 wins and a fast-finishing C&D second to Line Seeker at this level. You can forget his latest outing after a torrid run. He has been freshened up and can get on track.

SUN TOUCH (7) moved well to win a trial after coming home a never properly tested debut fourth behind the smart Mr Stunning last month over this trip. He's one of the chances despite a tricky gate.

BRILLIANT DREAM (2) will appreciate a return to the level of three Sha Tin wins over this trip and 1,400m following a generous three-point drop in the ratings for a not-so-bad eighth over 1,400m from a wide gate. He'll go close.

DIEGO KOSTA (4) is already a double trip winner and was swamped late in a recent fourth to Glorious Avenue after having to do too much on the outside early. He's one for the short list.

RACE 6 (1,000M)

RACING SUPERNOVA (7) easily got up in a solid form race to win his debut over the straight 1,000m in February despite missing the kick and with no clear run until the 200m mark. He looked good in a recent 800m trial and has repeat claims from a good draw.

BAD BOY (4) won with something up his sleeve when sporting a hood second-up last month with a switch to the straight 1,000m. He's since moved well in a trial. Must respect.

DIAMOND DRAGON (6) has struggled three times around a bend but has managed two wins and a second over this Sha Tin trip. The claimer makes him a live chance.

SMART DECLARATION (1) defied a wide gate carrying an identical weight to easily get up 20m out last month for a second wet-track win over the Valley 1,000m this term and was a C&D second to Triumphant Jewel last October. He's one for the short list.

RACE 7 (1,650M)

ULTIMATE GLORY (7) had won two of three over the Valley 1,650m and tossed away another when changing strides close to home. He'll need to be taken on trust but does handle the dirt and since won trials on both surfaces.

HIT THE BID (5) doesn't know how to run a bad race on this surface, including a prominently-ridden second behind rival Northern Falls despite a rise in trip. He is drawn to give another bold sight.

NORTHERN FALLS (2) finally delivered the goods with a drop back to the All-Weather Track 1,650m last month when easily going pillar-to-post from a wide gate. He's the one to catch despite a sharp rise in weight and another outside draw.

HAPPY SURVEYS (1) nearly added to a Valley win over the 1,200m in March when having to steady inside the final 50m in a 1,400m second last Saturday behind Avellino. He was placed on the dirt last November and can't be taken lightly.

RACE 8 (1,400M)

ENORMOUS HONOUR (1) was a bridesmaid for a sixth time from 11 outings when a short head second to Ho In One over this C&D. He'll map nicely in the run and will try to go one better despite finishing behind some familiar faces already.

SUPER LEADER (2) stayed on well to finish a close third in that Ho In One race despite carrying 12 pounds more following an easy C&D win a run earlier over Enormous Honour. He's one of the chances.

CLASSIC VINEGAR (3) came up just a whisker short in her debut after travelling behind midfield and will relish a rise in trip as a four-time winner in Australia over the 1,400m.

PEOPLE'S KNIGHT (4) returned to form when only getting overhauled by the exciting Friends Of Nanjing after a tough run outside the leader. He'll go close.

RACE 9 (1,400M)

SUPER LIFELINE (1) has stalked the speed to place behind the likes of Contentment, Thewizardofoz and Dashing Fellow in a number of C&D outings this term and will find the competition easier at this level with the claim well utilised.

HAMMER KING (12) was back in the winner's circle for a third time despite being held up until the 250m last month following a nail-biting third behind the in-form Tonyboy. He's facing stiffer opposition over a longer trip from a tough gate but is a horse heading higher.

SOLAR HEI HEI (9) is up in class but did out-finish Unicorn despite a step-up to the mile for a third win this term and didn't have no luck in two earlier 1,400m runs. He merits consideration.

MERION (4) had a setback last month with lameness but was held held-up early straight when a closing C&D second to rival Universal Union after going back from a wide gate. He's since trialled well and will be rolling late from an awkward gate.

RACE 10 (1,800M)

SERGEANT TITANIUM (1) worked too hard on a wet track from a wide gate in a recent failure after notching four earlier wins up to 2,000m and multiple placings. He must have claims.

ANTICIPATION (4) continued his fine form without winning when getting going with clear running 250m out in a recent second to Ambitious Champion in a Group race over 2,400m but could get posted from a wide gate.

BASIC TRILOGY (6) didn't quite get the 2,200m and 2,400m in his past couple of Sha Tin runs after a 1,800m win with a switch to the Valley. He needs to be kept safe.
