Some shocked, some praise Aide's decision to quit

It was one shocker after another on Thursday night (June11).

Soon after Singapore crashed out of the SEA Games football competition after losing to Indonesia on Thursday (June 11), coach Aide Iskandar announced his resignation during the press conference.

Here are some reactions online to his resignation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hours after the announcement, the reactions were more nuanced.

A few comments praised Aide's decision to resign saying that they respect his decision to move on.

But some could barely contain their glee at the news.

Aide said that he will be spending more time with his family.

"I thank you all for your support. I want to go back to my family now. They have been waiting for me for a long time."
