S'pore lose 1-0 to Tajikistan in Asian Games
It was a heartbreaking start to the Asian Games campaign for Aide Iskandar and his football team as Singapore were beaten by a late goal.
Despite fashioning enough chances to beat Tajikistan win what was a very open game, Singapore fell 1-0 to the Central Asians at the Ansan Wa Stadium earlier today.
Siyovush Asrorov headed home a 87th minute corner to hurt Singapore's already slim hopes of qualifying out of Group C that also features Oman and Palestine.
Singapore will face Oman in its next fixture on Wednesday, and will need a to avoid defeat to stay alive in the group.
