They will be cheering on the Reds

They are diehard Manchester United fans.

But tomorrow, when the Dorset Boys visit Anfield to watch Liverpool take on Newcastle in the English Premier League, they will be cheering on the Reds in the final game of the season.

The Dorset Boys earned an all expenses-paid trip to Merseyside after winning the Standard Chartered Trophy five-a-side futsal tournament in March.

They will also compete in the Road to Anfield tournament as Singapore's representatives against 13 other teams from Asia, Africa, and Europe in Anfield on Tuesday.

"Six of us are United fans, and one supports Newcastle," said team captain Rooban Kanth, 26.

"But it doesn't matter, we will cheer for Liverpool.

"Because if they lift the trophy at Anfield, it would certainly make the trip more memorable."

Formed in 2002, and named after the estate where they grew up and played football, the Dorset Boys will also get to train at Liverpool's Academy at Kirkby. - Ali Kasim
