EPL teams eye Mexican goalkeeper Ochoa after historic show

In just 90 minutes, Guillermo Ochoa has become not just the toast of World Cup but the entire planet.

Such was his performance against Brazil that admirers have run out of adjectives to describe his performance.

Ironically, though, his contract with French Ligue 1 side AC Ajaccio expired after they were relegated.

But there will be many teams including Premier League willing to sign him on, Mail Online reported.

Arsenal and Liverpool are some of the teams reportedly interested in him.

At the moment Ochoa, 28, is relishing his time under the spotlight.

In all likelihood, he’ll now be given the nickname “San Memo” (Saint Memo) in his home country.

He told Mexican TV that this was his best performance of his career.

“It was the game of my life,” he told TV Azteca.

One of the memes put together after the game was a photo of Neymar crying with the emotion of the Brazilian anthem with the words: “Mommy, Ochoa wouldn’t let me score,” goal.com reported.

Recalling the save to keep Neymar's header away, he said: “It was the most difficult because at first I didn’t think he was going to win the header and then he got it off quickly.

“But in that moment, you don’t think, you react.”
