Isa set to start

LionsXII skipper Isa Halim will make his long-awaited return to action tonight in their Malaysian Super League clash against Perak at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

The 28-year-old midfield hardman has been missing for almost three months, after going under the
knife for a niggling ankle injury
in late March.

Speaking to The New Paper yesterday, LionsXII coach Fandi Ahmad said: "He's eager, and hopefully he can inspire the boys.

"Raihan (Rahman) has done a good job protecting the defence when Isa was out, but he lacks experience."

Isa is looking forward to the encounter.

"I'll treat tomorrow just like any other game. Coach Fandi already told me I have nothing to prove.

"I'll just go out and do my best, as always, and try to give guidance to the younger players."
