Super-sub Wallace saves the Clarets

(Schlupp 33, Mahrez 40)

(Kightly 39,Wallace 90)

RossWallace’s injury-time stunner rescued a deserved point for Burnley at Leicester. The second-half substitute, who only came off the bench in the 79th minute, curled in a delightful 20-yard free-kick as the Clarets ended their mammoth goal drought.

Riyad Mahrez and Jeff Schlupp twice put the hosts ahead only for the visitors to hit back.

Michael Kightly netted the Clarets’ first goal in 47 days when he cancelled out Schlupp’s opener in the first half. And in the 96th minute,Wallace won it with a terrific set-piece after Lucas Jutkiewicz was felled by Matty James.

The point failed to lift the Clarets off the bottom of the Premier League though and they are still winless this season, while Leicester remain unbeaten at the King Power Stadium.
