Van Gaal blasts 'stupid' RVP over shirt celebration
His late equaliser might have salvaged a point for Manchester United against Chelsea, but that little fact didn't cut goal hero Robin van Persie any slack from manager Louis van Gaal.
The Man United boss wasn't impressed after the Dutch striker ripped off his top and threw it into the air to celebrate the 94th-minute strike that earned the Red Devils a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
The act earned the ex-Arsenal forward a yellow card and, in turn, van Gaal's ire.
The 63-year-old said: "He did a stupid reaction after the goal.
"You can be excited but you don’t have to pull your shirt off because then you have a yellow card. It is not so smart."
