A swing for Olympic values

The Singapore Olympic Foundation will bank a cool $450,688 after a charity fundraiser held at the Sentosa Golf Club yesterday.

The first Singapore Olympic Foundation Inaugural Charity Golf 2014 saw 137 golfers get into the swing at the Tanjong Course, including guest-of-honour Lawrence Wong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister for Ministry of Communications and Information.

Teaching professional Lim Kian Kee won the Open competition.

Proceeds of the event will go towards promoting Olympic values in Singapore, helping athletes to achieve their sporting aspirations, and supporting events and activities beneficial to local sports.
