Bowlers collect one gold and two silvers on Day 3
Singapore's bowling team enjoyed its best day at the SEA Games bowling competition on Thursday (June 11), collecting a gold and two silvers at the Orchid Country Club.
The women's trio of Shayna Ng, Cherie Tan and Bernice Lim won with a commanding combined total of 3,963 pins.
Jazreel Tan, New Hui Fen and Daphne Tan were 256 pins behind in second place, after a topsy turvy day during which they fluctuated between second and fourth.
In the men's trios, Javier Tan, Keith Saw and Howard Saw made a late surge for the gold, but finished second behind Malaysia (3,701) with a combined total of 3,656.
The Republic's bowling team has won three golds, three silvers and a bronze after three days of competition.
