Yip Pin Xiu: 'I am definitely going for two more years'
After winning a bronze medal at this year's Paralympic Games, Theresa Goh indicated she was "torn" between continuing her swimming career, and leaving the sport on a high.
Yesterday, the 29-year-old hinted to The New Paper that she could continue swimming for at least two years.
"I kind of knew that I wanted to continue for a while, but I wasn't sure for how long, for now I think it might be a couple of years," said Goh, on the sidelines of the Singapore Swimming Association Legacy Council exhibition at the National Museum.
Goh, who finished third in the women's SB4 100m breaststroke, took a break but she is back in the pool.
She posted a picture of herself at the OCBC Aquatic Centre on Monday on Instagram and joked about still remembering how to swim.
Similarly, good friend and teammate Yip Pin Xiu is slowly getting back into the groove after her own post-Rio break.
The S2 50m and 100m backstroke Paralympic champion said: "I am heading back to school in January and will only be done in May, so I'll be taking it a bit slower in this cycle to graduate first."

Yip, and possibly Goh, will feature at the Asean Para Games in Malaysia next September, when Singapore will aim to build on their performances from last year's Games on home soil.
Yip, who is studying at the Singapore Management University, stopped short of committing herself for the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, though.
She said: "I know I am definitely going for two more years. After that? We will see."
