Vietnamese fans gracious in defeat after Suzuki Cup loss

Last Sunday, Malaysia's 2-1 loss against Vietnam in the first leg of their AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 semifinal triggered a violent assault on Vietnamese fans by Malaysians at the stands.

However, during the second leg of the semi-finals match yesterday, there was nothing but goodwill, and great sportsmanship from Vietnamese fans after their country lost to Malaysia.

Despite getting knocked out by losing 5-4 on aggregate, Vietnamese supporters showed that they were gracious in defeat as they commended the Malaysian team on their victory.

Malaysia won the second leg 4-2 at the My Dinh stadium in Hanoi to advance to the finals of the tournament, where they will face Thailand.

Check out some of these congratulatory comments made by Vietnamese fans after the AFF Suzuki Cup Facebook page posted the results of the match.

And Malaysian fans certainly appreciated and admired Vietnam's goodwill and sportsmanship.
