Suspected match-fixer arrested in Italy after S'pore tip-off

Mr Ronald Noble, secretary general of Interpol, revealed the impending arrest of former footballer and alleged fixer Admir Suljic (pictured) at the Interpol and Asian Football Confederation seminar in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Admir Suljic, an ex-footballer who was convicted of match-fixing in Croatia in 2010, was arrested at Milan’s Malpensa airport after arriving on a flight from Singapore.

Singapore authorities had tipped off their Italian counterparts about his travel plans.

Brawl victim rejects $20,000 compensation offer from fugitive

Robert Stephen Dahlberg is on the run from assault charges in Singapore.

But the 35-year-old New Zealander wants to compensate one of the victims of the Suntec City brawl in April 2010 with $20,000.
