IT’S a project to help the elderly living alone at home.

And it’s just got a big boost, thanks to The Business Times, which helped raise $22,750 for the project.

Mr Alvin Tay, editor of The Business Times, said the project filled an important gap in fund-raising for the elderly.

YESTERDAY was the last day of The New Paper Bingo contest, but no one claimed the cash prize of $1,000.

However, the prize still has a winner – the charity initiative Project Helping Hands.

FOR the last 15 years, Mr Goh Boon Kok has had his reunion with a group of strangers, a tradition that this 70-year-old boss of an accounting firm has kept close to his heart.
