Two days ago, food distribution group A Packet Of Rice launched a campaign on their Facebook page, with a post that stated that for every "like" it got, food caterer Jessie Catering would contribute 50 cents to their purchase of packed lunch for distribution to needy families.

Stanford University student Evan Spiegel was told by classmates his idea for his final year project was "terrible".

Today, he is founder of Snapchat, a mobile phone app that allows users to send photos and videos that supposedly vanish from the recipient's phone after a few seconds.
