STTA guns for youth at SEA Games, again

THE Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) will stick to its guns and nominate four young paddlers for this year’s SEA Games.

JUNIOR games, such as the Asian Youth Games, should be distinguished from major competitions.
That is the stand of the Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA), who believe events like the AYG should be about gaining experience and not only about winning medals.

SINGAPORE swept all five table tennis gold medals on offer at the 2011 South-east Asia (SEA) Games in Indonesia.

The Republic bagged six out of seven in 2009 in Laos, and won all seven table tennis events in 2007 in Thailand.
