Actress Skye McCole Bartusiak dies at 21
Actress Skye McCole Bartusiak died in her Texas home on Saturday at age 21.
The cause of her death is not known, but her mother believes she choked while having a seizure, reported Mirror.
Bartusiak reportedly had a history of epileptic fits. Her boyfriend found her in her bed, reported Hollywood Life.
She is best known for playing Mel Gibson's daughter in the film The Patriot (2000) and has appeared in various TV shows, including 24, CSI and Lost.
Fellow child star Abigail Breslin, 18, took to Twitter and Instagram to express her grief.
