Bill Murray actually turns up at free ice cream event
Guess who turned up at the Bill Murray Ice Cream Social event? Why, Bill Murray, of course.
The US actor showed up at the free ice cream giveaway in Los Angeles on Tuesday, which was organised by CVT Soft Serve owner Joe.
Joe snapped a couple of photos with Murray, 63, and uploaded it on Instagram.
News site Gawker reported Joe as saying: "I heard through the grapevine that Bill Murray was shooting a movie in my neighbourhood last night. I decided to throw a Bill Murray Ice Cream Social near set with the hope that he'd show up."
"I invited the entire neighbourhood and the cast and crew of the film for free ice cream," he said. "Long story short, the guest of honour made it to the party and the rest is history."
"Like my dad always says, 'You'll never dance with the pretty girl unless you ask.'"
This isn't the first time Murray has shown his spontaneity.
Last month, the actor crashed a couple's engagement photo shoot in Charleston, South Carolina. And in the month before that, he gave an impromptu speech at a bachelor party.
Awww, Murray, you're such a great guy.
