Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds welcome first baby - probably not called Excalibur

Celebrity couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are parents.

The 27-year-old actress, gave birth just before the new year near their Bedford, New York home.

While Lively delivered earlier than expected, New York Post's Page Six was told that both Lively and baby are doing well.

This is just the beginning for the couple who have made it clear that they want a big family.

"I gotta get started," Lively told Marie Claire last year. "If I could spit out a litter of kids, I would."

Reynolds had told Details in August: "We'd love to have a big family. "We both come from big families — my parents did four, Blake’s did five. A lot of people say it’s crazy, but we’ll only know when we’re there, you know? We’ll walk through that fire pretty happily, I think."

The gender of the baby is not known. But back in October, Reynolds joked that he had the perfect name for a girl:

“I don’t want a name that’s anything pretentious or, like, Hollywood-y. So I’m going with Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds.”
