Casey Kasem still not buried a month after death
It's been a month since Casey Kasem died at a hospital in Washington state.
The famed American Top 40 radio host's body is still being kept in a funeral home in Tacoma, Washington.
Danny Deraney, publicist for the DJ's daughter, Miss Kerri Kasem, said her father's second wife, Jean Kasem, has the rights to his body but hasn't arranged a burial for him.
Mail Online reported that Kerri said in an interview on The View last month that the "bitter feud between her siblings from her father's first marriage and their step-mother had deepened over what to do with the dead body."
She also reportedly said: "I don't know what's going on with (Jean) and why she makes the decisions she does."
Miss Kasem isn't alone as netizens on Twitter condemn the delay.
The publicist mentioned that "Kasem's children from his first marriage hope he will be buried at Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, California, as he wished," reported USA Today.
The former voice actor for the character of Shaggy in Scooby Doo suffered and eventually died from Parkinson's disease, dementia and sepsis on Father's Day (June 15) last month.
Casey's three children from his first marriage - two daughters and son, Mike Kasem, who is a radio DJ in Singapore - and his only child from his second marriage, Liberty, were by his bed when he died. They, then, honoured him with a memorial service.
Mail Online added that "a call to Jean Kasem's attorney was not immediately returned on Tuesday".
