Giuliana Rancic's surrogate miscarries
American entertainment television hosts Giuliana and Bill Rancic have gone through another downer.
The couple revealed on E! News with Jason Kennedy on Monday that their surrogate, Delphine, has suffered a miscarriage.
Giuliana, 39, said: "You know we've been trying to get pregnant, hoping to give Duke a sibling and have another child. Sadly, we found out pretty recently that our attempts to get pregnant a second time didn't work out."
She then added: "The IVF did work but our surrogate miscarried after nine weeks, so we've had some time to digest the information, to come to terms with it.... Bill and I, we're just all about moving forward."
Even though the revelation was kept short on their US reality TV show Giuliana & Bill, the mother-of-one explained that they had to take "a different approach" and "get off camera and talk to the doctor more about this".
"We were in shock, but we had to take the conversation off-camera (because) some things have to be private, especially when you're first learning information like that."
Breast cancer
Giuliana had an earlier miscarriage in 2010 when she tried to have her own baby.
In 2011, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and went for a double mastectomy later that year.
