J-Lo splits up with Smart

I Luh Ya Papi singer, Jennifer Lopez and her backup-dancer-turned-choreographer beau have reportedly split after dating for two and a half years, a source close to Lopez confirmed to Us Weekly.
TMZ.com claims the pair went their separate ways a short time ago. The source said of the break-up: "It has actually been an amicable process that started a few months ago...It wasn't an easy decision, but they decided to stay friends. Their relationship couldn't work with the distance."
Recently, however, Lopez, 44, and Smart, 27, faced rumours that he had cheated on her with a transgender model he reportedly met online.
TMZ.com reported that the break-up had nothing to do with recent claims that Casper was sexting a transsexual, with the source adding: "Casper has been a single guy and can text or see whoever he wants, but the idea that he was knowingly texting a transsexual is laughable."
The pair were first linked as a couple in November 2011, four months after the American Idol judge split from her third ex-husband, Marc Anthony, with whom she shares six-year-old twins Max and Emme.
Smart has been by the star's side accompanying her to red carpets all over the world and even on family vacations with her kids, but it looks like that's about to change.
