Jackie Chan's son and Taiwanese actor Kai Ko caught in drug bust

Singer-actor Jaycee Chan, son of Hong Kong star Jackie Chan, has been arrested on drug-related charges in Beijing, along with his friend, Taiwanese actor Kai Ko Chen-Tung.

Mainland Chinese reports quoted by South China Morning Post did not say when the pair were detained by Beijing police, but a check on their social media accounts show no updates since last Tuesday.

A report in the Beijing News also said that the younger Chan, 31, and Kai, 23,  could potentially face criminal charges.

They are the latest stars to be nabbed in crackdowns on drug use by celebrities.

Actor Gao Hu, who starred in Zhang Yimou's The Flowers of War, was arrested just last week, also on drug-related charges.
