Metallica drummer accepts drum-off challenge against Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Chad Smith
Remember that epic drum-off between dopplegangers Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chilli Peppers' drummer Chad Smith?
Well, now it's going to include the drummer of the world's most famous metal band.
Late last month, the comedian and Smith engaged in a drum battle for charity after months of trash talk following Ferrell's acknowledgement that they looked alike.
The result? Hilarious.
Now, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich has chosen to accept the pair's challenge.
Will Ferrell said: "Lars gets pissed because he gets mistaken for both me and Chad Smith.
"He can settle that score now, too," said Ferrell.
In a statement released to SPIN, Ulrich said: "Bring it on!!!"
Who's he more afraid of? Of course, it's Will Ferrell.
"I could give Chad a run for his money. But Will? That's a whole different story," said Ulrich.
He said: "He rules the 'bad-ass drummer universe'. I mean, you're talking about a guy who's so next level, actually, so beyond next level that he may just be completely unreachable."
