More ice bucket fun as Taylor and Robert Downey Jr join in
The ALS ice bucket challenge is definitely catching on - and unlike some of those annoying viral campaigns, this one is actually fun to watch in a good way.
On top of that, the campaign has been a rousing success for The ALS Association, who have announced that they've received US$11.4 million ($14.2m) in donations between July 29 and Aug 16 compared to US$1.7m in the same time frame last year.
Hot on the heels of Bill Gate's awesome ice water dumping rig and Oprah Winfrey's scream-tastic effort come even more ice water dousing hijinks.
Remember the three people Gates challenged? They've all responded.
While not as flashy as the Microsoft founder's video, tech tycoon Elon Musk set up a simple contraption suspended off a tree that allowed his five sons to dump five buckets of water on him. His nominees for the next dare were Minecraft creator Notch, Johnny Depp and former pro skateboarder Tony Hawk.
TED curator Chris Anderson opted out of getting wet in favour of making a donation to the ALS Foundation - only to get himself soaked anyway for talking too much. Wait for the scream at the end!
Ryan Seacrest took his bucket of chilly water without much fuss - but not before he dragged Selena Gomez, Instagram founder Kevin Systrom and none other than David Beckham into the mix.
Gomez was also challenged by Taylor Swift, who also dared actress Emma Stone and singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran before fulfilling her own dare with actress Jaime King.
Speaking about Gomez...
After she was done screaming, the 22-year-old picked her "victims" for the stunt.
We missed this one a few days back, but WWE wrestler Triple H also did his bit and invoked the name of three wrestling legends - Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and his father-in-law Vince McMahon - to continue the campaign for a noble cause.
American Idol winner Carrie Underwood tried something different for her video with husband Mike Fisher by using a bulldozer instead of a bucket.
And last but certainly not least, here's Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr, who summoned the mighty Thor aka Chris Hemsworth. More Avengers please!
If you're wondering what ALS is, it stands for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, which is a neurodegenerative disease that's also commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease in the US.
And if all this cold water madness has moved you, you can help the cause by chipping in at http://www.alsa.org/donate/.
