Halle Berry starts Twitter and Instagram accounts

Never mind that Halle Berry is a decade late to the Twitter game.

On Tuesday, the 49-year-old US actress made her debut on the social networking platform, which turned 10 last week, with a photo of her bare back as she stood in what appeared to be a forest.

The tweet was captioned: "Hi everyone...".

It has to date received more than 6,600 re-tweets and 15,300 likes.

Berry posted the same photo on her Instagram account, which she started on the same day. She wrote that she hopes to share images that capture her "emotions and perceptions".
