TNP Movie Treats: Why Him?
Many dads will have worried that their daughters find the right man.
But what if that man is not suitable. What if that man is played by James Franco!
That's the question thrown up by new comedy Why Him? starring Bryan Cranston, Franco and rated NC16.
Over the holidays, Ned (Cranston), an overprotective but loving dad and his family visit his daughter at college, where he meets his biggest nightmare: her well-meaning but socially awkward Silicon Valley billionaire boyfriend, Laird (Franco).
The straight-laced Ned thinks Laird, who has no filter, is wildly inappropriate for his daughter.
The one-sided rivalry—and Ned’s panic level—escalate when he finds himself increasingly out of step and then learns that Laird is about to pop the question.
We have 70 pairs of tickets to give away for a preview screening on Dec 27.
