New Face 2014: Jia Yi
Lim Jia Yi was six when she realised she had an interest in singing.
"Back then, my idol was Jolin Tsai," she said.
Her mother would buy her Tsai's CDs as rewards for doing well in her exams.
The 15-year-old has never attended singing classes, but sings at home for fun.
Celine Dion is another singer Jia Yi idolises.
She explained: "Five years ago, my mum bought one of her concert CDs. I fell in love with her voice."
Last year, Jia Yi performed on stage for the first time, at a talent search competition with her 10-year-old sister Jia Jia.
"I was very nervous because it was my first time on stage."
She didn't get through, but that hasn't dampened her enthusiasm to be a star.
"I would like to have a career in the entertainment industry," she said.
