Qi Yuwu gets all lovey dovey in column about Joanne Peh
To Chinese actor Qi Yuwu, his wife Joanne Peh is "like a mirror in which he sees his faults and merits".
The usually private Qi, 37, spoke up about the couple's relationship in a column published in Chinese-language newspaper Lianhe Zaobao
He wrote: "I must have done something right all these years, to have all this."
Though the couple have confirmed they had a private wedding ceremony earlier this month, the wedding has still not convinced some of the couple's love for each other.
That is partly due to rumours about Qi's previous relationships.
In the column, Qi makes it very clear how he feels about the 31-year-old Peh.
The pair dated for a year before getting married, and Qi claims he knew she was the one when he realised, through her, he sees all aspects of himself.
He said: "I seem to have found a mirror and through her, I see the good and the bad in me. It makes me feel inferior and proud. I can be myself and grow up."
He claims it was something he never would have expected to happen when he moved to Singapore from China after his studies at Guangzhou Physical Education Institute.

The couple started dating almost immediately after Peh split with ex-boyfriend and Class 95 DJ, Bobbi Tonelli, whom she dated for four years.

However, he admitted it wasn't all rainbows and butterflies as he made the decision to tie the knot. Qi said he was worried that he wasn't ready but realised that "in the face of life, no one can be fully prepared".
Now that Wu has done the big deed, he describes the accumulated experiences of hitched couples as a "profound philosophical text".
"I will find my own answers, continue to learn to love myself, learn to love others, and continue to grow through constant adjustments."
