Quan Yifeng's daughter is star of newly-released Apple ad in China
Quan Yifeng's daughter is making waves in China, thanks to a newly-released Apple advertisement.
The teen, who turns 16 this year, flew to Shanghai in December last year to shoot the ad and was paid a six-figure sum, reported Shin Min Daily News.
The ad, which was released on Monday, has created a lot of interest in Eleanor Lee Kaixin, who has been nicknamed Apple girl.
Eleanor's godfather, celebrity hair stylist Addy Lee, said Apple had been searching for a suitable teen to play the lead for six months, and that Eleanor managed to beat tens of thousands of applicants to get the role.
The teenager got to work with three top-notch people in the field – Taiwanese film director Ann Hui, Australian-Hong Kong cinematographer Christopher Doyle and Hong Kong art director William Chang.
Going by Eleanor's Instagram photos, this is not her first advertisement gig.
Lee told the Chinese daily that he has since turned down many job offers for Eleanor as her priorities were still to complete her O levels and enter university.
"I want her to do her studies well. Even if she chooses to enter the entertainment circle in the future, she should be an artist with brains."
