At the jaw-dropping rate Elle Fanning is going, she's on track to becoming my MVP of 2016
ELLE FANNING (A)
The Neon Demon premiere in New York City
She's risen to the top of the class with every The Neon Demon premiere outfit, this being her third win - going full-on nymph in an ethereal blush pink tulle-and-ruffle confection. It's so picture-perfect from head to toe, it almost makes me want to cry.
BLAKE LIVELY (B+)
The Shallows premiere in New York City
Dress: Carolina Herrera
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Pretty yet edgy. I'm glad pregnant Lively and her invisible baby bump refuse to succumb to maternity dowdiness. But she must be carrying really, really low in order for that corset not to have squashed her foetus.
SHAY MITCHELL (B)
iHeartRADIO MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada
Dress: Olcay Gulsen
Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti
That exposed thigh is a bit much, but Mitchell is pushing the seduction button hard in this low-cut silk maxi dress - and it works for the most part.
REBECCA HALL (C)
The BFG premiere in Los Angeles
Dress: Dion Lee
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
Her dress is falling down, her bra is riding up and maybe we are all about to get flashed.
CHLOE GRACE MORETZ (D)
Coach And Friends Of The High Line Summer Party in New York City
Top, skirt and bag: Coach
This isn't bottom-of-the-barrel bad, but I do feel sorry for the child. As with the Jennifer Lawrence-Christian Dior collaboration, this is an example of a brand-celebrity ambassador disconnect. Her torso has never looked boxier, or her waist wider. Victoria Beckham needs to give her son's girlfriend some fashion tips pronto.
WHO WORE IT BETTER?
The Nice Guys premiere in Los Angeles, May 10
iHeartRADIO MuchMusic Video Awards in Toronto, Canada, June 19
YAYA DACOSTA (Top) VS AMBER ROSE (Above)
Whether in nude or black, or whatever the body shape of its wearer, this Herve Leger textured jacquard bell-bottomed jumpsuit is an outright camel toe catastrophe. I can't even decide who loses out more - both versions are simply too painful to behold.
