What do "real" women look like?

The latest addition to this ongoing argument surprisingly involves former supermodel Cindy Crawford. 

An unretouched photo of the 48-year-old has been making the rounds online after a UK news anchor tweeted it on Friday (Feb 13). 

The photo shows lines on her torso. 

The caption accompanying the tweet claims the picture will be published in an upcoming issue of Marie Claire.

MarieClaire.com clarified the photo is actually from a 2013 cover story for Marie Claire Mexico and Latin America. 

It also added these sweet words:

"No matter where the photo came from, it's an enlightenment—we've always known Crawford was beautiful, but seeing her like this only makes us love her more."

While Crawford herself has not addressed the leak, the picture has received kudos from various personalities. 

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis, 56, posted a picture of herself in underwear, along with a quote about beauty, on Twitter:

 

 

In what could be viewed as a response to the photo, Crawford's husband Rande Gerber posted this shot of the supermodel lounging next to a pool in a bikini, after Valentine's Day with the caption: "She got flowers and I got her."
