Why 'virgin' is Nicole Richie's biggest regret
Nicole Richie admitted her biggest regret during an interview with E! News on Wednesday (July 16).
When asked what her regret was, Richie, who married lead vocalist Joel Madden from punk rock band Good Charlotte, "pointed to a tattoo on the inside of her right wrist that she got when she was 16," reported E! Online.
The fact that she had a permanent ink wasn't the problem. It was more what the tatt said.
"See this tattoo? It says ‘virgin,' you guys. It's embarrassing and desperate," she told show's hosts.
"Now, I am a Virgo so when I was 16 I thought, 'Ooh I'm going to be different and I'm going to put virgin, because the Virgin is the sign for Virgo."
Richie, who was adopted by US singer-songwriter Lionel Richie, shot to stardom after the airing of Fox reality television series, The Simple Life, which starred her and childhood best friend, Paris Hilton.
She later jokingly said: "I'd add an i and an a and say I'm from Virginia, but I just don't think people are going to believe me. So I'm just stuck."
The 32-year-old was on the show to promote her new VH1 reality series - featuring her famed adopted father - Candidly Nicole, which documents the star's life excluding her hubby.
Her reason? "He didn't ask to be (in the show)," she said during the interview.
In the promo video for the upcoming series, she says that the new production deals with "big issues" which are followed by preview shots that sees Richie talk about "being short" and "exfoliating".
Those are some "big issues" right there.
