Wolf of Wall Street is going to be a TV show
Jordan Belfort, whose life was chronicled in the award-winning Martin Scorsese film Wolf of Wall Street, will be part of a team creating a "Mad-Men style" TV show about the excess of Wall Street in the 1980s, reported Page Six.
Belfort will be teaming up with with Rush Hour director Brett Ratner and Australian billionaire James Packer to work on the show.
The 52-year-old motivational speaker, who was convicted of fraud crimes related to stock market manipulation and running a boiler room as part of a penny stock scam, told The Australian that "the idea was to come up with a show about that period with really interesting characters".
No word yet on what the show will be called or who its main stars will be.
