Even handphones are taking the ice bucket challenge
Kudos to Samsung UK's marketing team for this one.
As the ice bucket challenge gets more popular by the day, the Korean electronics maker decided to tap on the latest sensation to sweep the Internet by letting its Galaxy S5 smartphone join in as a champion for the Motor Neuron Disease Association in the UK.
With its touted IP67 certification for dust and water resistance, the intrepid Galaxy S5 that took on the challenge shrugged off its ice bath without so much as a remark about the chilly water.
And as customary for the challenge, the gadget nominated its fellow handphones to join in - namely, the iPhone 5S, the HTC One M8 and the Nokia Lumia 930.
While none of the three phones nominated list being waterproof as one of their features, YouTube channel Cellphone S did subject the HTC and Nokia phones to the challenge to see if they could survive getting doused.
Turns out they both made it:
Apple, HTC and Nokia - the ball's in your court now.
